Tenuta Tamburnin 14022 Castelnuovo Don Bosco (AT)
Frazione Bardella 4

FACILITY SHEET

Winery - Events location - Holiday farm with rooms only

Tenuta Tamburnin, whose origins date back to the late 18th century, is located in Castelnuovo Don Bosco, which has always been a “land of saints and wine”, in Basso Monferrato Astigiano.

It was named by its founder, who was inspired by “drums” that were traditionally played as the royal army of Savoy advanced, in order to spur on the infantry troops under attack from the enemy.

For the value of the place, of its buildings and the historic winery, Tenuta Tamburnin is under the protection of historical and landscape heritage.

Since summer 2004 the property has been owned by the sisters Elena, Valeria and Claudia Gaidano. Valeria and her father deal full-time with the business administration, working with the two oenologists and an agronomist.

Nine hectares of vineyards form a suggestive amphitheater around the historical buildings of the farm. The grapes from which the wines of Tenuta Tamburnin come out are typical of the territory (Freisa and Malvasia, Bonarda, Barbera and Nebbiolo).

This small wine reality is also very marked on reception because in addition to the winery has a small holiday farm with rooms only and a location for events and for the  StayDo courses.
